Opening Prayer:

Lord, may all of the graces and benefits of this Rosary fall upon those with Mental Illness, Psychiatric Disturbance, Behavorial or Learning Disabilities, and those who love and care for them. Grant them peace, health of mind, heart and soul according to Your Most Holy Will.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Joyful Mysteries:

The Annunciation:
For those afflicted with Oppositional Defiance Disorder and other disorders who are compelled to say “No” when they should say “Yes” and “yes” when they should not.

The Visitation:
For those with Agoraphobia and other social anxiety disorders which prevent them from going out of themselves to perform acts of Charity.

The Nativity:
For those who suffer from Post-Partum Depression and those who grieve the loss of the child of their womb through miscarriage, stillbirth, or Abortion.

The Presentation:
For those with Obessive Compulsive Disorder whose minds and bodies cannot relax from strict adherence to their rituals.

The Finding In The Temple:
For those with Dementia, Alzheimer’s and other disorders that affect the memory, causing them to lose themselves, and for the loved ones who must stand by as they slowly fade away.

The Luminous Mysteries

The Baptism of Our Lord:
For those who suffer from Multiple Personality Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, and Body Dysmorphia who do not know who they truly are.

The Wedding Feast at Cana:
For those with alcohol, drug or other addictions which cause them to place their “fix” before their obligations to God, family, and their livelihood.

The Proclamation of the Gospel:
For those with Dyslexia and other learning disabilities that prevent them from understanding and proclaiming the knowledge they possess.

The Transfiguration:
For those with Schizophrenia and other Psychotic Disorders who struggle to decipher what is real from the barrage of hallucinations and delusions.

The Last Supper:
For those with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, and other Eating Disorders who see food and their bodies as enemies of their souls, rather than as Gifts to be used for the service of their Creator.

The Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden:
For those who suffer from Panic Attacks and other disorders that cause intense anxiety that overwhelms them.

The Scourging at the Pillar:
For those who suffer from Hypochondriasis and other disorders in which the ailments of their bodies cause them such great anxiety.

The Crowning with Thorns:
For those with Down Syndrome or Mental Retardation who dutifully carry their crosses with such peace.

The Crucifixion:
For those with Severe Depression, especially those who may be contemplating suicide as the only way out, the only way to end their pain.

The Glorious Mysteries

The Resurrection:
For freedom for those with Autism and Catatonia who are locked away inside their minds, as in a tomb.

The Ascension:
For those with Manic-Depression, Bipolar Disorder or other disorders who are torn between the heights and depths of their moods.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit:
For those with Developmental Delay or Mental Retardation, who lag behind their peers and who need extra time and aid to reach the fullness of maturity.

The Assumption:
For those with High-Functioning Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and other pervasive developmental disorders who struggle with grasping social cues and understanding that not everything can be taken literally.

The Coronation:
For all Psychiatrists, Psychologists, therapists and all who give of their time, talent and treasure to care for those with mental illnesses, that they may be abundantly blessed by God for their loving service and charity.
