August 4th 2023- Tim's visit with the Diocese of Arlington,Virginia and Takes a Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC

This was a special visit:  Bishop Michael F. Burbidge will be offering Mass for those affected by mental illness on August 26th in the Catherdral. I met with the diocese of Arlington to give permission to release a digital image of MMOMI (our icon of the Merciful Mother of the mentally ill) which will be used on their program for the Mass. This is quite an honor for our Apostolate.

Since I was in my early twenties, I always loved to travel and visit this wonderful spiritual place dedicated to Mother Mary. This time, I went specifically to pray in the Sorrowful Mother Chapel for the Guild's intentions. You can see the pictures below. Also, directly behind the main altar in one of the asps (which is dedicated to the decades of the rosary), is a statue of our St. Benedict Joseph Labre. He is on top of a larger than lifesize pillar; I am pictured standing at its base. Whenever I visit, I take the occasion to pray with "Ben" (as I personally call him) to intercede for everyone in the Guild. Looking back, I can hardly believe that I have been visting that holy place off-and-on for close to thirty-five years.
